With offices in Feldkirch, Innsbruck and Eschen (Liechtenstein), VERKEHRSINGENIEURE has been providing high-quality, forward-looking expertise in transport planning and traffic engineering for decades.

Since our foundation in 1977, we have focused exclusively on transport planning and traffic engineering. As one of the few specialised consultancies in this field in Vorarlberg and Austria, we have built up extensive expertise across a wide range of transport-related topics.

Our team of around 20 experts develops innovative and sustainable mobility solutions for complex planning challenges.

Cycling Planning as a Key Area of Expertise

Cycling has been one of our core areas of expertise for many years. As pioneers of cycling planning in Vorarlberg, we contributed to major strategic projects such as the Vorarlberg General Transport Concept 2006 and the cycling strategy “Frischer Wind”.

Today, we develop safe, attractive and connected cycling networks for municipalities, cities and regions across Austria, Liechtenstein and southern Germany.

Our work goes beyond conventional planning approaches. We develop innovative solutions, pilot projects and tailor-made strategies for specific local requirements. Our services cover the full planning process – from network and route planning and feasibility studies to preliminary and detailed design.

We continuously expand our expertise through professional development and international study visits, including to Copenhagen, Paris and the Netherlands. This enables us to bring international best practices and new perspectives into our projects and adapt them to local conditions.

At VERKEHRSINGENIEURE, we take a holistic approach to transport planning. Complex mobility challenges require more than a single disciplinary perspective. Close cooperation with experts from related fields and a strong interdisciplinary network are therefore an integral part of our work.
